English Language 1-2

This course includes four units and in this course, we will learn how to ask for clarifications and confirm, discuss crime and punishment, talk about travel experiences and travel dreams, and discuss types of TV programs.

In unit one, we will learn how to ask for clarifications and confirm, discuss using technology for communication, and talk about personal characteristics. We will explain Auxiliary verbs, the comparative and superlative, needs to be done, and past participles as adjectives. We will learn how to write an essay comparing ways of socializing and state your preference. In unit two, We will discuss crime and punishment, read and discuss newspaper articles, and explain the steps in a process. We will explain the passive, past-perfect, past-perfect progressive, simple past tense, used to and would, and past progressive tense. We will learn how to write a story for a newspaper or web article. In unit three, we will talk about travel experiences and travel dreams, discuss hotels and services, and make and decline special requests. We will explain adverbs of degree, sentence adverbs, future with be going to and will, information questions, and present progressive. We will learn how to write a letter about places to visit in Saudi Arabia. In unit four, we will discuss types of TV programs, express and explain preferences, and talk about festivals. We will explain direct and indirect objects, adjective clauses, and relative pronouns as subjects and objects. We will learn how to write a book review.
