  • About the Subject :

    This course includes four units and in this course. We will talk about problems and things that need to be done, events that happened in the past before others, discoveries and inventions and how things would have been different without them, and report what people said.




  • You Will Learn :

    Unit nine ( complaints, complaints): We will talk about problems and things that need to be done, ask to have something done, and talk about common consumer complaints. We will explain the need to be (done), past participles as adjectives, present perfect simple tense, verb+ gerund; verb+ infinitive, subject and object pronouns, imperatives, and two-word verbs. We learn how to write a letter or email of complaint about a faulty product. Unite ten ( I wonder what happened ): we will talk about past events that happened in the past before others, speculate about facts and events, express enthusiasm with intensifiers and adjectives, and express necessity and lack of necessity. We will explain past perfect, modules, independent clauses, the past with dependent time clauses, and conditional sentences with present and future forms. We will learn how to write a description of a vessel, voyage, or expedition. Unite eleven ( If It Hadn’t Happened ): we will talk about discoveries and inventions and how things would have been different without them, missed opportunities and regrets, and expressing ability, permission, and requests. We will explain should have + past participle, conditional sentences, if with could and might, present perfect versus simple past, time expressions with: ago, for, since, and if+ past perfect+ be able to. We will learn how to write a response for an advice column. Unite twelve ( What They Said ): We will report what people said, discuss famous quotes, relate messages, discuss the environment and natural disasters, and express agreement and disagreement. We will explain reported speech and questions, word changes in reported speech, reporting verbs, negative questions, and relative adverb: where. We will learn how to write an email to give information and directions to a place.
