English Language 1-1

This course includes four units and in this course. We will discuss past world events and present effects, discuss careers, make predictions about the future, and discuss commercials, ads, and product history.

In Unit One, we will discuss past world events and present effects, talk about global warming, and explain simple present, present progressive, simple past, present perfect, and past progressive + when + simple past. We will learn how to write an essay about important changes in your country. Unit two we will talk about careers, personal qualities, and personality characteristics, how long you've been doing something. We will explain present perfect progressive, present perfect simple, adjective+ preposition + gerund, simple present and Wh questions, and relative pronouns. We will learn how to write a cover letter for a job application. In Unit Three we will make predictions about the future, express opinions, and make and respond to suggestions. We will explain the future with will or be going to, future progressive, present progressive for the future, and Wh questions and tag questions. We will learn how to tell a story about hidden treasure. Unite Four we will talk about commercials, ads, and product history, describe products, and make comparisons. We will explain the passive, comparatives and superlatives, imperatives, and possessive adjectives and pronouns. We will learn how to write an essay about the history of a product.
