English Language 3-2

This course includes four units and in this course. We will learn how to tell jokes and respond to them, how to talk about food and our eating habits, about animals and their behavior, and how to give advice. we will also learn how to express our opinions and we will cover some grammar rules. we will learn how to write a paragraph.

unit 9(Laugh out loud): talk about humor, explain consequences with comparatives, tell and respond to jokes, and express wishes, regret, and criticism. Grammar: past and present participle adjectives (Get + adjective ;Get +past participle) The...the...comparatives .Such .....That-So ..... that . Modals: Can't, could, couldn’t, must, may, or might writing: learn how to write short messages, or write a scene from a TV sitcom. Unit 10(You Are What You Eat) : talk about food myths, discuss eating habits, and offer, accept, and decline food and drink. Grammar: Phrasal verbs (separable and nonseparable phrasal verbs ) Three-word verbs(count-noncount nouns ) Expressions of quantity (some, any, few, little, A lot of, much, many enough, Would like Words connected with recipes Sequence words(First , then, after that ,finally) Writing: write a description of a memorable event. Unit 11 (Amazing Animals) : talk about animals and their behavior, ask for advice, and give advice. Grammar: Passive modals The passive with reporting verbs. Adjectives ( All, both, neither, none; Both …and…\neither…nor…\either…or. Writing: Write about a type of animal. Unit 12( What Would You Do): Talk about ethics and morals, discuss, ethical dilemmas, and give opinions. Grammar: Present hypothetical conditionals versus, past hypothetic conditionals, implied conditionals. As if l As though for unreal situations. Future progressive and future perfect. Time expressions for the future: by the year, this time tomorrow. Used to versus be used to. Was \were going to. Writing: Write a personal narrative about an important decision that has impacted your life.
