  • About the Course :

    This course includes topics of measurement physics, motion in one dimension, vectors, motion in two dimensions, laws of motion, circular motion and other applications of Newton's laws, energy of the system, conservation of energy, linear momentum and collisions, and rotation of a rigid body around a fixed axis.




  • You Will Learn :

    Introduction to physics (physics definition, SI system, basic and derived quantity, length, mass, and time). significant figures (significant figures and scientific notation). dimensional analysis, converting units. Position, distance, and displacement, speed and velocity, acceleration, motion with constant acceleration. Vectors in physics (vector and scalar definition, vector components, adding and subtracting vectors, unit vectors, position, displacement, velocity, and acceleration vectors, multiplication of vectors). Motion in two dimensions, projectile motion (projectile definition, projectile motion equation, zero launch angle, general launch angle, project motion: key characteristics). Newtons laws of motion (force and mass, newton 1st law of motion, newton 2nd law of motion, free body diagram, newton 3rd law of motion, forces in two dimensions, weight, normal force). Frictional forces (friction level, kinematic friction, static friction), strings and springs (strings and tension, springs and hooks’ law, translation equilibrium, connected objects), circular motion. Work and kinetic energy (work done by a constant force, kinetic energy and the work energy theorem, work done by a variable force, power). Potential energy (conservative and non-conservative definition, potential energy and the work done by conservative forces, gravity, springs). conservation of mechanical energy, work done by non-conservation forces. Linear momentum (linear momentum, momentum and newton 2nd law, impulse, conservation of linear momentum). collisions (inelastic collisions in one and two dimensions, elastic collisions in one and two dimensions). Rotational kinematics (angular position, velocity, and acceleration, rotational kinematics, connection between linear and rotational quantities). Rotational dynamics and static equilibrium (torque, zero torque and static equilibrium).
