  • About the Course :

    Course Description: This is an introductory course in statistics aimed at students from a wide range of disciplines. Topics covered include the representation and description of data, the normal curve, regression, probability, statistical inference, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing with real-world applications. Students also have the opportunity to analyze data sets.

    What is Probability Sample Spaces and Probability, General Counting Rules- Combinations- Permutation Rules, Probability – Counting Techniques, Probability Rules and Conditional Probability, Series and Sums, Review of Useful Series and Sums, Discrete Random Variables and Probability Models, Continuous Random Variable, Hypergeometric Distribution, Binomial Distribution, Poisson Distribution from Binomial and Correlations, The Normal Distribution, Introduction of Hypothesis Testing, Chebyshev’s Inequality.
