  • About the Course :

    Course Description: This is an introductory course in statistics aimed at students from a wide range of disciplines. Topics covered include the representation and description of data, the normal curve, regression, probability, statistical inference, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing with real-world applications. Students also have the opportunity to analyze data sets.

    What is Statistics, Organization of Data, Frequency Distributions and Graphic Presentation, Calculate the Arithmetic Mean-Median-Mode- Weighted Mean and Geometric Mean, Range-Mean Deviation- Variance-and Standard Deviation, Define Probability and Explain the Terms Experiment-Event-Outcome, Permutations-and Combinations, Conditional Probability and Joint Probability and Bayes Theorem, Define the Terms Probability Distribution and Random Variable, Compute Probabilities Using the Binomial Probability Distribution, Using the Hypergeometric Probability Distribution, The Normal Distribution, Index Numbers.
