  • About the Course :

    Course Description: This is an introductory course in statistics aimed at students from a wide range of disciplines. Topics covered include the representation and description of data, the normal curve, regression, probability, statistical inference, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing with real-world applications. Students also have the opportunity to analyze data sets.

    Statistical and Critical Thinking and Parts of Statistics, Collecting Data, Common Graphs (Polygons, Pie-Charts), Box Blot, Measures of Center Tendency (Mean, Median, Mode) for Data and Frequency Distributions, Measures of Variation (Range, standard Mean, Variance, Standard Deviation), Basics of Probability, Probability Rules, Conditional Probability and Bays Theorem, Discrete Random Variables, Continuous Random Variables, Expectations (Mean, Variance, and Standard Deviations), Standard Normal Distribution, Real Applications of Normal Distribution.
