  • About the Course :

    It is an introductory course in statistics intended for students in a wide variety of areas of study. Topics discussed include displaying and describing data, the normal curve, regression, probability, statistical inference, confidence intervals, and hypothesis tests with applications in the real world. Students also have the opportunity to analyze data sets.

    What is Statistics, Organization of Data, Collecting Data-Graphical Presentation and Tabulation, Mean-Median-and Mode, Range-Variance- and Standard Deviation, The Box-Plot, Z-Score, Random Experiment, Sample Space-Event-Definition of Probability, Computation of Probability, Rules of Addition and Multiplication, Conditional Probability and Independence, The Fundamental Counting Rule and Permutation and Combination, Random Variables Probability Distributions and Variance and Expected Value, Binomial Distribution, Normal Distribution and Find the Probability for a Normal Distribution, Estimation of Population Mean and Proportion, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Spearman's Correlation Coefficient, Correlation Coefficient.
