About the Course
:
This course gives students a background in mathematics needed to build the mathematical maturity and sophistication needed by science and its students in particular. The course begins with the study of real numbers, equations and inequalities, functions, the basic tools of calculus, their algebra and families of functions, the basic concept and the limit of a function, and the continuity of a function. Then it introduces some special functions such as trigonometric, logarithmic, exponential, and hyperbolic functions. Finally, the course covers polar coordinates and complex numbers.

Review on Roots, Fractions, and numbers, Intervals on R and Absolute Value, Linear Equations and Inequalities, Domain and Range and Functions Operations, Inverse Functions, Composite Functions, Even Odd Functions, Sketching Periodic Functions, Exponential and Logarithms Functions, Trigonometry Functions, Hyperbolic Functions, Definition of Limits of a Function, Right and Left Limits of Functions, Limits of Trigonometry Functions, Limits Containing Infinity, Hopital’s Rule, Continuity, Complex Numbers, Arithmetic Operations of Complex Numbers, Euler Formula, Complex Equation, Polar Form of Complex Number, Application of Complex Numbers, and De Moivre's Formula for Multiplication and Division.
