  • About the Course :

    This is an introductory course on mathematics for College of Engineering students. The course covers the basic concepts and methods of calculus. At the beginning of the course, the students should have a full idea of the number systems, differentiation of functions of a single variable, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, inverse trigonometric functions, applications of derivatives, differentials, curve sketching, L’Hospital’s rule, mean-value theorems, area and estimating with finite sums, and introduction to integrals and definite integrals.

    Number Systems, Algebraic Operations, Functions, Limits, Limits Rule, Continuity, Limits Involving Infinity, Intermediate Value Theorem, Derivatives Definitions, Tangent line Equations, Rules of Derivatives, Multiplications and Quotient Rules, Chain Rule, Derivatives of Trigonometry Functions, Derivatives of Logarithm and Exponential Functions, Rate of Change, Rolle’s and Intermediate Value Theorem, Extrema Values, Critical Values, Infliction Points and Concavity, and Functions Graphs.
