    This course will highlight the importance of differentiation and integration for science and engineering and the relationship between them. Presentation of the basic rules of differentiation and integration and their applications. Accustom the student to logical reasoning and acquire the skills needed to solve the issues.

    Real Numbers, Exponents and Radicals, Polynomials, Basic Operations and Factoring, Solving Equations, Rational Expressions, Basic Operations, Inequalities, Absolute Values, Definition of Functions (Domain and Range), Graphs of Functions, Trigonometric Functions and Identities, Introduction to Limits, Theorems on Limits, Limit from Right and from Left, Definition of Continuity, Definition of Derivative (Using Limits), Rules and Theorems for Finding Derivatives, Derivative of Trigonometric Functions, Chain Rule, Higher Order Derivatives, Implicit Differentiation, Maxima and Minimum, Local Maxima and Minimum, Concavity, Sketching the Graphs, Integration of Functions, and Definite Integrals.
